Welcome to our web site.

The Latin American Museum of Art's (LAMA) programs are presented in parnership with Bank One. Thanks to them, we are able to go on line to promote our exhibitions. In addition, they are sponsoring the Latin American Art exhibition title "Minds Abstractions" which they are hosting at their Pilsen branch. Furthermore, we received a grant from the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs which assist us in being able to achieve numerous highly successful projects and exhibitions. We have started to build partnerships with Latino organizations to assist us in our outreach to the elderly and youth. We are committed to creating exceptional opportunities for Latino artists in Chicago. This fiscal year, we featured exhibitions of paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, performances, screenings, workshops and educational programs. These programs are designed to expand arts education opportunities for the community. The LAMA will continue to provide participants with opportunities to develop their creativity and technical skills as well as promote a sense of cultural and self-identity.

Our marketing plan objective for our programs is to: Build awareness, interest, and excitement among the Chicagoland community. Our exhibitions will continue to have organized panel discussions open to the public. The purpose of the panels is to offer both Latinos and non-Latino communities a more in depth-understanding of the art presented as well as its historical context within the mainstream contemporary art world.
